In Noisy-le-Grand, 15 ALTAO® Curve cycle shelters have been installed at several schools to support the development of active travel and make it easier for pupils, families and teaching staff to cycle to school.
This initiative forms part of a wider strategy aimed at encouraging more sustainable modes of transport for everyday journeys, particularly journeys between home and school.
A solution tailored to everyday use
With their contemporary design and layout tailored for communal use, these cycle shelters help to create clearly marked and easily accessible cycle parking areas within schools.
To meet the day-to-day cycle parking needs of the various establishments, the project includes:
- 12 ALTAO® Curve cycle shelters , 4.2 m long
- 3 ALTAO® Curve cycle shelters , each 8.4 m long
- 110 U-shaped bicycle racks
This facility provides parking capacity tailored to the needs of schools and creates clearly marked cycle parking areas within the various sites.
