Usson-en-Forez is now home to a new ALTAO® Modulo bike wash and tyre-inflation station, installed at the Pôle Nature Josette Folléat.
To mark the opening of this new facility dedicated to outdoor activities and visitor services on Saturday 4 July 2026, the local council has expanded its range of services for cyclists.
Situated on the lakeside at Usson-en-Forez, this building complements the facilities in the leisure area, with a view to expanding the region’s tourism and sports offering. The installation of this cycle station enhances the range of facilities supporting cycling infrastructure and provides a practical service for cyclists.
An ALTAO® Modulo station to make bike maintenance easier
After a mountain bike ride, a cycle ride or a route along the Forez trails, cyclists now have a dedicated area where they can service their bikes right on site.
The ALTAO® Modulo bike wash station allows you to:
- cleaning bicycles, regardless of their type (mountain bikes, road bikes, hybrid bikes or electric bikes);
- inflating tyres to easily adjust their pressure;
- Easier bike storage thanks to the Univer’Selle arm, a patented Altinnova system.
This facility complements the services available to visitors and helps to improve the cycling experience in the area.
A project supporting outdoor activities
The Josette Folléat Nature Centre is part of an initiative to promote outdoor sports, tourism and leisure activities. Led by the municipality of Usson-en-Forez, this project complements the facilities at the lakeside leisure area, with the aim of boosting the region’s appeal and encouraging the development of short-stay green tourism.
As part of the Village Sport Nature network, which brings together several local authorities in the Loire region committed to promoting sport and outdoor activities, this new facility meets the needs of visitors looking for suitable activities and services.
The installation of a bicycle wash and pump station therefore contributes to the development of services dedicated to active mobility and to improving the experience for cyclists.
An ALTAO® Modulo station built to last
Manufactured in France, the ALTAO® Modulo station is designed to withstand outdoor conditions and regular use. Its eco-designed approach helps, in particular, to optimise water consumption when washing bicycles.
With this new development, Usson-en-Forez is enhancing its range offacilities for cyclists and providing a complementary service to the region’s cycling infrastructure.
