As part of its policy to promote active mobility, the Nice Côte d’Azur Metropolitan Area is gradually rolling out bicycle repair andpump stations – designed and manufactured by Altinnova – across several local authorities within its territory.
To meet the specific requirements of the Metropolitan Area, the equipment is mounted on bespoke base plates, tailored to the constraints of the various installation sites.
This project illustrates the synergy between Altinnova and Mobicity: Altinnova designs and manufactures the equipment and bespoke installation solutions, whilst Mobicity carries out their installation and maintenance on site.
Repair and inflation stations suitable for all forms of active transport
Several types of cycle service stations have therefore been installed across the region:
- ALTAO® Fix: a terminal designed for minor repairs;
- ALTAO® T’Pump: a manual tyre-inflation unit;
- ALTAO® Fix’Air: a unit that combines tyre inflation and repair in a single piece of equipment.
This equipment is designed to meet the needs of all users of active transport. It can be used for:
- city bikes;
- electric-assisted bicycles (e-bikes);
- road bikes and mountain bikes;
- scooters;
- pushchairs;
- wheelchairs.
Thanks to their air pump and self-service tools, users can carry out the most common repairs independently, at any time of day.

The bicycle inflation and repair stations are entirely designed, engineered and manufactured in France by Altinnova.
Made from stainless steel, they have been specially designed to withstand the rigours of permanent installation in public spaces:
- an inflation pump compatible with the main valve types;
- a stand for hanging the bike whilst it is being repaired;
- professional tools secured with stainless steel cables;
- excellent resistance to the elements, corrosion and heavy use.
Their design ensures high durability whilst minimising maintenance work for local authorities.

The charging points are gradually being installed at various transport hubs and busy locations to provide a local service for residents, workers and visitors.

- Place Franklin, along the cycle path – Nice
