To support cyclists on its many routes, Destination Grand’R – run by Roannais Agglomération in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes – has chosen to enhance its cycling services by installing Altinnova facilities at five locations across the region: Le Crozet, Montagny, Renaison, Saint-Romain-la-Motte and Villerest.
These projects bring together ALTAO® Fix’Air bicycle repair and inflation stations ,ALTAO® Parco e-bike charging points and bespoke bicycle racks, with particular attention paid to the customisation of the equipment.
Bespoke cycling equipment for the five sites
Service areas bring together a range of complementary facilities designed to meet the needs of mountain bikers, cycle tourists and users of electric bikes.
- ALTAO® Fix’Air:
This bike repair and inflation station allows you to carry out minor day-to-day repairs and pump up your tyres before continuing your journey. Available on a self-service basis, it provides the essential tools for routine bike maintenance.
- ALTAO® Parco VAE:
The ALTAO® Parco VAE charging points make it easy to recharge electric bikes whilst taking a break. They cater to the growing use of electric bikes and complement the services available at the rest area.
- Bespoke cycle parking racks:
Racks specially designed for the site provide parking solutions suited to different types of bicycles and blend seamlessly into the layout of the service areas.
Destination Grand’R: France’s largest FFC-approved mountain biking area
Run by Roannais Agglomération in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Destination Grand’R is now the largest FFC-accredited mountain biking area in France.
With its many kilometres of signposted routes, the area offers a wide variety of trails suitable for all levels of ability. Amidst forests, hills, valleys and charming villages, mountain bikers and cyclists can enjoy a natural setting that is ideal for cycling.
Whether for leisure cycling, challenging rides or family outings, Destination Grand’R is a prime destination for mountain biking and cycle touring enthusiasts.
Cycle facilities at the heart of the routes
By offering repairs, tyre inflation, refuelling and parking, Destination Grand’R’s service areas meet the key needs of users before, during and after their trip.
The customisation of the ALTAO® Fix’Air and Parco VAE, combined with the bespoke design of the bike racks, enables the creation of facilities that are consistent with the identity of Destination Grand’R.
These developments thus enhance the range of cycling services available at France’s largest FFC-certified mountain biking area, whilst making it easier to cycle along the various routes in the region.
