Cercy-la-Tour station : a cycle shelter funded by the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region

As part of its efforts to develop its mobility solutions, the municipality of Cercy-la-Tour has installed new cycle facilities on the forecourt of the station.
Two ALTAO® Cocoon secure cycle shelters allow users to park their bikes away from the elements and protected from vandalism. Each unit has two individual lockers, with a total capacity of four bikes.
This facility is complemented by an ALTAO® T’Pump inflation station and an ALTAO® Fix repair station, offering cyclists convenient services for maintaining and repairing their self-service bikes.
Secure cycle parking at the station
ALTAO® Cocoon shelters are individual lockers designed to keep bicycles secure whilst travelling.
Cyclists can leave their bikes in a bike locker and lock them with their own bike lock. This simple system requires no booking and means you can leave your bike with complete peace of mind whilst travelling by train or during a day out.
With two spaces per unit, the two bike storage facilities installed in Cercy-la-Tour thus provide four secure bicycle parking spaces.
Cycling services to support cyclists
In addition to secure parking, the station has two facilities dedicated to bicycle maintenance.
- The ALTAO® T’Pump station allows you to check tyre pressure and inflate tyres thanks to its pressure gauge and universal inflation nozzle, which is suitable for all bicycle valves.
- The ALTAO® Fix workstation provides tools for carrying out minor repairs and routine adjustments. Its built-in holder allows the bike to be suspended by the saddle to make work easier.

Located near Cercy-la-Tour station, these facilities make it easier to combine cycling with train travel, offering users additional services for parking, maintaining and repairing their bikes whilst on the move.
This project forms part of the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Region’s scheme, which can fund up to 80 per cent of projects for secure cycle shelters at small and medium-sized stations with fewer than 500 passengers a day. In Cercy-la-Tour, the Region therefore contributed 80 per cent of the funding for the project.
