Attractive and practical bicycle shelters to facilitate intermodality at Valserhône

As part of the development of the multimodal interchange located at exit 10 of the A40 at Valserhône, cycle shelters and other equipment have recently been installed for ATMB – Autoroutes et Tunnel du Mont Blanc, facilitating access to the site for cyclists and encouraging intermodality.
Complete and secure bicycle parking facilities
To meet the needs of users, Altinnova has deployed a parking solution combining secure individual bicycle boxes, a covered bicycle shelter and bicycle services:
- 1 ALTAO® Duplex individual secure bicycle box
This closed bike shelter provides secure parking for 10 bikes in individual lockers. Protected from theft and bad weather, the bikes are parked in complete safety in a compact shelter.
Bonus: self-supporting design, so can be installed and moved without any work.
- 1 ALTAO® Curve open bike shelter and U-shaped bicycle racks
The covered cycle park offers 10 parking spaces under a designer structure, guaranteeing ease of use and protection. The U-shaped hoops provide reliable parking for all types of bikes.
Benefits: attractive customisable graphics + ease of use
The graphic design of the facilities, particularly the bike locker, brings colour to the multimodal interchange hub. This intense blue is easy for cyclists to spot, and the signage provides additional user information.
Very practical and simple, the 2-storey secure bike box allows each bicycle to be parked individually.
Upstairs, a sliding rail with pneumatic lifting assistance makes it easy to install the bike.
Each individual space has a hook for storing personal items such as bags.
Services to support cyclists on a daily basis
To complete the range of cycle parking facilities, two cycle services have also been installed at the multimodal interchange hub :
- 1 ALTAO® T’Pump bicycle inflation station
Accessible to all, this station makes inflating tyres easier and makes cycling safer and more comfortable. - 1 ALTAO® Fix repair station
Equipped with the essential tools, it allows cyclists to carry out light repairs and routine adjustments on their own.
The site is now fully accessible by bike
Located less than 2 km from Valserhône and Vouvray, the multimodal interchange is now easily accessible by bike, allowing users to combine cycling, carpooling and public transport thanks to free, secure on-site parking.
