Different types of inflation stations available

To meet every need and budget, we have developed a range of inflation stations with different features

public bicycle pump pressure gauge

Mechanical bicycle pumps: these use human power to operate, and have the advantage of being able to be installed anywhere without the need for an electrical connection.

Electric inflators for bicycles: connected to an electric compressor, the system inflates tyres directly without manual force. They are efficient and easy to use, but require a power supply.

Inflation and repair station

2-in-1 tyre inflators : only available in an automatic version, the two nozzles mean you can inflate all types of vehicle.

Why invest in bicycle inflate stations?

If you’ve ever ridden a bike, you’ll know that riding with deflated tyres is a real ordeal. Maintenance, and in particular the inflation of bicycle tyres, is essential to ensure a comfortable and trouble-free ride. As Murphy’s Law would have it, it’s often when you don’t have it with you that you need a bike pump.

As a local authority (or company), providing self-service filling stations shows your desire to encourage the use of bicycles and is an integral part of your CSR policy. This encourages more people to use their bikes for their daily journeys, helping to reduce car traffic and CO2 emissions.

In the case of greenways, self-service filling stations complement existing facilities, such as cycle racks and lockers, by offering an additional service that enhances the experience for cyclists. In this way, they become a useful and much-appreciated landmark on cycle routes.

Where to install bicycle pumps?

As a professional in cycling facilities, we have a few suggestions on the best places to install your bollards and filling stations.

  • Close to cycle paths: Installing inflation stations in protected locations close to cycle paths gives cyclists easy, safe access to this essential service, without having to stray far from their route.
  • City bike terminals: Inflation stations installed near self-service bike terminals offer a complementary service to users of these systems, enhancing their experience.
  • Company entrances, bike hire, cycle and sports shops, repairs café.
  • Cycle or cycle/car parks: Placing inflation stations in cycle parks ensures that cyclists can check and adjust their tyre pressure before setting off again.

All our equipment is eco-designed and, in most cases, made in France. Altinnova is committed to providing high-quality, environmentally-friendly products to promote sustainable travel practices.
