Altinnova is pursuing its commitment to active mobility with the installation of 300 cycle parking spaces at the stations of the 1st cable car line in Île-de-France.
This new C1 line will facilitate intermodality by linking the towns of Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, Limeil-Brévannes and Valenton to Metro 8 Créteil – Pointe du Lac.
This major project will enhance Ile-de-France Mobilités’ Parking Vélos service, with Altinnova contributing to the installation of cycle parking spaces, secure shelters, recharging stations and cycle services.
Currently under development, all the infrastructure will soon be accessible to all users.
One objective: to facilitate intermodality
To make the journey easier and more comfortable for users, the areas around Cable C1 stations are equipped with cycle parking facilities, cycle paths, pedestrian areas, bus stops, etc.
Altinnova contributes to intermodality by installing all closed and open cycle shelters with parking bays in the immediate vicinity of stations and/or cycle paths.
Secure bicycle parking
Altinnova has designed, manufactured and installed 5 partially open ALTAO® Spacio bicycle racks offering 300 parking spaces at the 5 stations served by the new C1 cable car line – Pointe du Lac, Limeil-Brévannes, Valenton, La Végétale, Villa Nova.
On each station :
- 40 cycle parking spaces in a secure shelter with Optima V10 parking racks.
- 20 free-access Urban U bicycle arch available under open bicycle shelters.
City bikes, gravel bikes, mountain bikes, electric bikes can all be accommodated in these parking spaces.
Thanks to their glass walls, the shelters provide a pleasantly light environment. Accessible by key code or badge, the bike shelters are secured by the IDFM-compliant Diwio system. And by securing their bikes with an anti-theft device, cyclists can double their security.
All these cycle parking spaces also have personalised signage in the Ile-de-France Mobilités colours.
Additional services for users
Additional services have been installed in the secure cycle parks to make life easier for cyclists.
For example, 10 low-level spaces are equipped with VAE version P hoops for recharging the batteries of electric bicycles.
An ALTAO® T’Pump inflation point and an ALTAO® Fix repair totem are also freely available inside the secure bike rooms at each line C1 station. This means that users can carry out essential repairs so that they can ride with peace of mind.
This exciting project will enhance sustainable mobility solutions, as well as promoting active mobility through the provision of safe infrastructure to facilitate cycling.
