To support the development of active transport and promote intermodality, Altinnova has installed one of its high-capacity cycle parking solutions at the Noisy-le-Grand – Mont d’Est multimodal hub. This project combines open-access parking spaces with a state-of-the-art secure shelter to cater for all cyclists’ needs.
Open-air shelters providing 166 freely accessible cycle parking spaces
The project comprises five ALTAO® Open cycle shelters, providing a practical, visible and accessible parking solution for everyone, with 166 spaces.
Among these, two open car parks are fitted with 72 spaces in Optima V10 double-deck racks, divided into two sections of 36 spaces each. This configuration optimises parking capacity whilst ensuring a high level of user comfort.
The other three open-access shelters have a total of 94 spaces on bike racks.
This design allows for the secure parking of all types of bicycles thanks to an effective locking mechanism for the frame and wheel.
A secure shelter with 182 places
For users looking for long-term parking or a higher level of security, the site also features a secure ALTAO® Spacio bicycle storage facility with a total capacity of 182 spaces.
The equipment includes:
- 180 spaces in Optima V10 double-deck racks to optimise parking space.
- 2 ALTAO® Bridge bike racks designed for specialised or oversized bikes.
- A security system comprising the IDFM DIWIO® Box access control system and the DIWIO® Cam video surveillance and people-counting system.
Thanks to its optimised design, the shelter offers a high parking density whilst ensuring smooth traffic flow and convenient access to bicycles. This solution enhances the user experience by providing greater protection for both bicycles and users, whilst simplifying the site’s operation.
Additional services for cyclists
In order to provide a comprehensive service to users, maintenance equipment is available outside, near the secure shelter:
- 1 ALTAO® T’Pump inflation station
- 1 ALTAO® Fix repair station
This equipment enables cyclists to carry out routine maintenance themselves.
